Saint Ignatius might tell me about this Examen:
- how it unites me ever more with God;
- how it reveals to me God's perspective on my everyday life;
- how it moves me to give thanks for the countless gifts of God that appeared in my day, and even to perceive His presence in it;
- how it gives me the chance to acknowledge and ask forgiveness for my faults, to mourn my failures and wounds, and to receive healing;
- how it brings me insight into what is really happening behind my thoughts, words and actions — my subconscious;
- that it helps me discern how to handle the more difficult aspects of my life;
- that it helps me know which inner gifts I need from God in order to do what I have to do.
